With Winter weather fast approaching (some would argue that it’s already here in full force), deploying some extra methods of maintaining health and wellness is a must! Follow a few “must-do’s” to ensure that you and your coworkers stay healthy during this flu season:
- Wash your hands! A lot! The easiest way to stop the spread of germs is to wash your hands on a frequent and regular basis. To avoid the inevitable winter skin dry-out, you can also utilize a strong hand sanitizer and a good moisturizing lotion.
- Dose up on vitamins and minerals: Iron, zinc and vitamin C are all great supplements to keep your immune system strong and healthy during its most vulnerable season
- Rest Up: If you feel yourself coming down with something, get plenty of rest. The dark mornings and late afternoons should make that easy to do.
- Stay Home: When all else fails and you come down with the inevitable winter cold or flu, do yourself and your co-workers a favor and stay home until you are better. While everyone appreciates a dedicated employee, they also appreciate one who doesn’t share their germs!
