Beating the Heat Wave

As I sat at my desk in my air-conditioned office, I started thinking about those individuals who don’t have that luxury and are forced to face the outdoors consistently during this extreme heat wave we’re experiencing. 

At that moment, I decided that my contribution to the Random Act of Kindness initiative would focus on the delivery drivers who make sure I receive my packages on a daily basis.  For our mail carrier, I simply left a note, along with the RAK card and thanked him for his service.  I also bought several cases of water and soft drinks to put in a cooler full of ice for the other delivery drivers to help themselves.

It was a nice break in the day to stop and intentionally think about the needs of others.  Thank you, FM Talent - this has inspired me to do more of this!
