RAK and Some Bubbles for the Kids

Bubbles against a cloudy sky

Several new families have moved into my neighborhood, and they all have children. Recently I was out with my grandson and took out his bubble machine, which blows tons of bubbles. The children saw and began to speak to each other about the bubbles. A few days later I saw them with one small bottle of bubbles to share. When the new initiative for the Random Act of Kindness came in, I knew immediately what I would do with the money. I went to the store this past Friday and purchased them a bubble machine, a big bottle of bubble solution, and the batteries to operate the machine.

I explained to the kids and their aunt that it was for them to have. While they do not speak English, they understood the gesture. Saturday our grandson was visiting, and he wanted to go outside to play. I took out his bubble machine and the neighbors were out riding their bikes; they ran to get their bubble machine (they used the entire bottle of bubbles I purchased the day before) but I shared my grandson’s and we had a huge bubble party. The kids were running and rolling in the grass having the time of their lives.

While doing random acts of kindness is part of my lifestyle, I appreciate working for an organization that also understands the importance of giving, and they joy one can receive while doing it. Thank you for helping me make a small difference in the world and in my community - especially in the lives of tiny humans!
