A Little Drive-Thru Kindness

Drive thru restaurant

I am traveling in upstate NY with my family. We stopped to get a quick bite at a fast food place because all the restaurants are packed on this beautiful day. The young lady who took our order was very polite but seemed a little frazzled. She appeared to be all alone and asked us to pull around to the parking lot so she could bring the food out to us nice and hot.

It was a unanimous decision!  She walked out to the car, explained the food was super hot.  I surprised her with the money and RAK card. Her eyes got really wide - and then she cried. I asked her to read the card and spread the kindness, and she thanked us. We thanked her - and wished her a happy day. She was still crying as we left.

It felt great to make such a large impact on her and brighten her day.  Can’t wait to do it again.
